Revenue from flex/classic subscription

Where to find the revenue generated for flex and classic subscription models

In both the classic subscription and flex models, the OMS displays the following revenue (CA) data:

  • Total Revenue (collected, to be collected, and excluding refunds)
  • Revenue (€) / Customer (average revenue per customer)
  • Monthly Revenue (based on the anniversary date)
  • Average Revenue per Customer per Month (based on the anniversary date)

The RMS also provides a revenue figure, often different.

This article describes the difference between these figures and what they include or exclude.

OMS - Total Revenue (collected, to be collected, and excluding refunds)

This revenue is inclusive of taxes (TTC) and includes all orders in the "new" and "completed" status (excluding canceled orders). It also incorporates revenue that is expected to be collected in the current month, provided that customers do not return their products.

In other words, it is an optimistic revenue figure, as it represents what will be invoiced in the scenario where all current customers complete the current month of their subscription.

Example: If a customer started their subscription on January 4, hasn't returned their products, and today is February 20, we count one subscription month from January 4 to February 3, and then another subscription month from February 4 to March 3, assuming they won't return their products before March 3. This represents the best-case scenario.

Orders for customers whose email contains 'test' or '@lizee.co' are not included in this revenue.

If a refund has been issued, either from the OMS or from Stripe, it is not included in this revenue figure.

Currently, orders that have been placed but whose subscription start date has not been reached are not counted in Sylius revenue. This is subject to change in the future.

RMS - Revenue

The revenue in the RMS includes orders for users with emails containing 'test' or '@lizee.co.' It is inclusive of taxes (TTC) and is calculated based on the order date (prior to the few days of delay counted before the start of the subscription). Therefore, it is higher than the OMS revenue, which excludes certain lines due to their status (canceled and in_coming).

OMS - Revenue (€) / Customer (Average Revenue per Customer)

This figure corresponds to the Total Revenue explained above divided by the number of customers who contributed to this figure. Currently, orders placed but whose subscription start date has not been reached are not included in this calculation.

OMS - Monthly Revenue (based on the anniversary date)

The revenue is considered in the same way as for the Total Revenue; it is distributed monthly based on the subscription start date.

OMS - Average Revenue per Customer per Month (based on the anniversary date)

Similar to the Monthly Revenue, this is the revenue per customer distributed monthly based on the subscription start date, rather than the order date.
