Matomo - Why, when I select the 'month' period, do I still see 6 months of data on the visits graph?

In Lizee Web Analytics, on your main dashboard, you can choose the duration for which you want to see the displayed data.

If you select 'Month,' you must then navigate among the months and click on the specific month to highlight it in black before applying this filter.

You might then be surprised to find that the graph displaying the number of visits over time does not show the visits for the selected month but instead shows a total number of visits for each of the 3, 6, or 12 selected months.

This is the normal behavior of Matomo. In fact, it is possible to choose the number of data points to display while keeping the monthly unit:
