Whether it's because the customer made an error during the order placement or because a product is not available in stock and needs to be replaced, you may need to remove or add a product from an order. Here's how to proceed.

Impact on the RMS
Please note that the actions of removing and adding product(s) to orders have a direct impact on the RMS and, consequently, on order processing. We recommend that you carry out removal and/or addition operations promptly to ensure orders are prepared correctly in the warehouse.
General
Changes made to orders (additions, deletions) do have a direct impact on billing, which is available in the customer's account, as well as on the visualization of the order content in the customer's account.
In the case of flex and classic subscription models, billing will be affected at the end of the month and not immediately.
1. Deletion
Now, in the OMS (Sylius), it is possible to delete products from an order.
On each line, you have the option to delete the specific product.
When clicking on the ?️, a pop-up window appears, allowing you to choose the quantity of product(s) to delete. You must then click on "Delete" to remove the product from the order.
Once the deletion is performed, the information is transmitted to the RMS, and the product is automatically removed from the order preparation.
Please remember to refund the customer for the amount of the removed product over the rental period if you are using a Date-to-Date model. This is not necessary in the Flex model.
Order in the process of preparation
Please note that if the order is in the process of preparation (or beyond) on the RMS side, the deletion action is not possible.
Order Cancellation
If you delete all the products from an order, the system will automatically ask you if you want to cancel the order.
2. Addition
Please note that we assume that if a substitution or addition is proposed to a customer (or confirmed following their request), then the feasibility of this addition or substitution has already been verified. This means that the availability of added products is not automatically checked; you need to manually check in the RMS, in the "Go" > "Forecasted Needs" view, if other orders involve the same items immediately afterward or not.
In the OMS (Sylius), it is possible to add products to an order.
For each order, you have the option to add products by clicking on "+ Add a product."
When you click on "+ Add a product," a pop-up window appears where you can select the product you want, along with the desired quantity and type (rental or purchase). Then, click on "Add," and the product will be added to the list of products in the order.
Don't forget to go to Stripe or Adyen (or Paypal) to send an additional payment request to your customer for the product amount multiplied by the number of rental days if you are using a Date-to-Date model. This is not necessary for Flex and Classic Subscription models; the next invoice will be automatically adjusted.
Order in the process of preparation
Please note that if the order is in the process of preparation (or beyond) on the RMS side, adding or removing products is not possible.
3. Billing Calculation
Refunds
- Date to Date: No automatic refunds are currently processed.
- Flex and Classic Subscription: Refunds will be calculated automatically for end-of-month billing, so no manual action is required.
Additional Payments
- Date to Date: No additional payments are automatically processed. Manual payment is required.
- Flex and Classic Subscription: Payment calculation is automated for end-of-month billing, so no manual action is required.
4. Other Planned Features to Come
We have plans for the future:
- Automatic Refunds: Implementation of automatic refunds for products removed from the order. Currently, refunds still need to be processed manually.
