To set an order aside

RMS - What is this function for in the order preparation?

When you have started to prepare an order, the screen displays the list of products to be scanned for this order and also a "Delay preparation" button at the top right. Let's see what this button is for.

Once the preparation is set aside, we return to the order preparation homepage, and we see that the new status of this order preparation is: "Delayed".

In the Order List, the status of an order whose preparation is delayed is "Preparation delayed". This status is a bit alarmist, the order may not be late yet, but we report that there is a risk if the preparation does not end.

When to set an order aside?

We can put an order preparation aside:

• while waiting for the necessary products to be returned to stock after their repair,
• just waiting for them to be repaired,
• to have time to check something while the preparation has started

Are already scanned products reserved for a given order when it is set aside?

No, the products are not reserved, it will be necessary to restart the scan of all products of the order when we resume the preparation.

How do I continue to prepare an order that has been set aside?

To resume preparation, simply go back to Outwards > Prepare an order > Prepare. Once the preparation has resumed, the status of the order preparation goes back to "Preparation in progress".
