This notion of "High priority" is applicable in the date-to-date and subscription models even if it is more frequently used in date-to-date.
In the RMS, in the list of orders, you may see orders with the "High Priority" status, what does this mean?
These are orders whose preparation and delivery must be made in priority. Thus, in the "Prepare an order" view, priority orders are always at the top of the list:
In general, the carrier for priority orders is Chronopost, which commits to shorter deadlines than Colissimo for example, but it could be another carrier.
Apart from preparing this order quickly, there is nothing more to know about this status.
Why has an order "High priority" status?
An order has "High priority" status when the chosen carrier had the checkmark 'is an express delivery method' activated in the OMS:
In general, this delivery method is offered when the rental start date is really close to the order date, the other delivery methods then being offered only when the "rental start date" is more than X days away. .
However, the fact of being delivered faster could be offered in subscription models, in a billable way or not, and therefore independently of a rental start date.
