What to do when delivering a package to the carrier?

Send a parcel in practice (with or without a collection note)

When a carrier picks up your customers' orders (or when you take them to a carrier depending on your organization), the only thing the system needs to do to know which packages have left is for the carrier to scan the main barcode of each package. The information is then retrieved by the RMS and the status of the order becomes "in transit".

In order to prepare the delivery of packages to the carrier, the RMS gives you the possibility of generating a collection order. Go to Outwards > Parcel Collection, choose your expedition deadlines to display the correct order list and select the parcels that will be in the collection slip. Click on "Parcel collection note" at the top right.

In the same way, when the parcel is delivered to the customer or to a relay point, the RMS will retrieve the information of this delivery and the order will change to "Delivered" status.

You can also follow the progress of the delivery by clicking on the link in the "Follow the parcel" column.

If you're hand-delivering to a customer, you can read How to hand-deliver an order to a customer.
