How the Lizee fitting option works

Modified on Tue, 9 Jan at 5:06 PM

Lizee offers all customers in 'date to date' model the fitting option.

Operation of the fitting option

Renting 1 product gives the right to try out 1 product at a reduced price. The price of the fitting product does not depend on the number of rental days.

It is only possible to try a product if another product is for rent in the basket. If there are 2 products for rent in the basket, it is possible to try out 2 other products, whether they are of the same reference as the products for rent, or not.

Example at Maje:

A dress whose rental is 25€ per day will have a fitting price of 15€. So if I rent size 38 for 2 days and add size 40 as a fitting product, I pay: 2 (days) x €25 + €15 = €65. If the fitting option hadn't existed, I would have either bet on the fact that the dress in one of the 2 sizes would fit me the first time, or paid for 2 full rentals, i.e. €100.

How is the fitting option displayed on the site?

A grayed out button is present under the rental button with a tooltip to indicate that you must first add a product to rent before you can add a product to try.

See point 13 of this page: Single product page

In the basket, it appears as on the last screenshot of this page (point 29): The basket

How is the trial price configured?

In the product variant sheet in Sylius, you can check the "Trying on" option and indicate the fixed price of a fitting.

Should we necessarily try the same product, but in a different size?

It is possible to rent a dress in one size and try on a jumpsuit in the same or another size.

What if the customer takes the fitting option to use 2 products and not pay the price of 2 rentals?

The purpose of the fitting option is for the customer to have a product that suits him without paying the full price of 2 rentals. In order to avoid drifts, it is possible to add a "visible" or "inconvenient" element for the use of the product, but which nevertheless allows you to try it. We will check on the return of the rental that this element has remained present on at least one of the 2 returned products.

For example, you can put a big label mentioning the rental on each of the 2 products if they are clothes, or a link between 2 shoes.

Then it's up to you to imagine the chargeback policy you want to apply if a customer has abused the feature.

Note: all these control and re-invoicing actions are manual and therefore represent an additional cost in the management of the service.
